Ignatian Awardee 2019-20
If I could describe my experience at XIC in one word, it would be ‘revelatory’. XIC has made me feel more in touch with myself and who I am at my core. Thus XIC will be an experience, I will treasure for the rest of my life. Aside from the curriculum of rigorous journalistic training, I learnt a great deal about the passion that fill me up the causes I care about and my best qualities. From the in-class discussion to the XIC literary Festival, Alfaaz, these 10 months were packed with learning. I can say it’s a place where my potential truly became an achievement.
The learning at XIC has helped me understand my interest and passion, an integral ingredient in the direction my professional life will take. I appreciated most, the emphasis on fostering our conscience as young media persons. The core tenets of journalism objectivity, accuracy and sensitivity formed the foundation of our training. Thank you XIC for making me a more focussed writer and a self as well as other aware individual.
Best Student in Journalism & Mass Communication Courses
If I were to sum up my experience in a couple of words, I would say that it was ‘learn by fun.’ Even though I had a basic background of the course that I opted here, it was like a rebirth thing that happened to me. Not only my skills were honed and brushed here, but I got to learn a lot of old things in the newest ways possible.
XIC has taught me the value of time and how to respect it. This has not only just helped me in my personal life, but professionally it has turned me into a better person. Being a part of different events on different levels has developed my personality in a lot of ways. I have better social skills now. I am better at people management. My team spirits are all spiked and amplified. And without a doubt, all the credit goes to XIC.
