Cinephilia set the atmosphere full of enthusiasm with it’s thrilling film quiz where students’ film knowledge was tested.

There were several rounds on audios, film plots, music, dance and connections. 9 teams participated giving neck-to-neck competition to each other.

There were multiple competitions such as cosplay and reel making. Students of other institutions also joined Cinephilia by participating in The Storytelling Race and The Shortfilm Making Competition.

The stage was then packed with energetic and enthusiastic dance performances by JR, EPEM and ADMA. These brought everyone together; students, professors and supporting staff, making unforgettable memories together.

A panel discussion occurred on ‘Plots and Puns’. It discussed the impact on filmmaking with the change in technology and the addition of AI-VR technologies in filmmaking.

“Audience can smell a hit film,” said Pankaj Kapur, Director. Film as a culture has only gone deep, reels is how it started, he stated.

Kapur said, “Filmmaking is more difficult than rocket science.” The story has to be good graphics or AI cannot save it in Post production.

Anil Zankar, Film critic says when a study was conducted it suggested the large part of Indian audience consumes films in four languages. One language film consumption is extremely less.
