XIC Stands With Maharashtra - Students Participate in The Emersion Drive

Relentless rainfall left several households in Maharashtra displaced, belongings ruined, and daily life upended across large parts of the state. Intrigue Club, XIC's event club, responded to this with the institute's first wellness initiative of the year, Emersion Drive, running from 5th to 31st August.
The name is fitting. Emersion refers to the act of rising up from a liquid, and the drive was shaped around that very idea, an initiative aimed at helping affected families regain some steadiness rather than simply weather the loss. It was less about grand gestures and more about a genuine attempt to stand by people during a difficult stretch, in whatever way the institute could manage.
What gave the drive its momentum was how readily the campus responded. Students across every course at XIC came forward with contributions of food, clothing, and stationery, treating the ask less as a favour and more as something worth showing up for. This was not the effort of just one club or one course, it drew from across the institute, which is what allowed the drive to gather the scale it eventually did. Intrigue Club members also took the initiative to a next level through on ground promotional activities, spreading word of the drive and encouraging further participation.
To ensure these contributions reach the people who need them, the drive collaborated with an NGO in Talasari, one of the regions worst hit this monsoon. This is not intended as a stand alone effort, visits to NGOs are also being planned and are currently underway, with the institute keen on staying involved beyond the duration of the drive itself.
XIC extends its gratitude to every student who came forward to contribute to the Emersion Drive. Their response is a reflection of what this institute has always stood for, and this drive marks only the start of that commitment.
