Orientation programme for the Batch 2026-2027

The Orientation programme for the 2026-27 batch was held on June 5, 2026, at the St. Xavier’s College Hall. It was attended by staff, faculty, students, and parents. The comperes for the evening were staff members Zeon D’mello & Anuja Shah.
The programme began with the National Anthem, followed by a universal prayer played on the screen. A welcome address was given by Dr. Fr. Conrad Pesso, SJ, Director of XIC. Dr. Fr. Keith D’Souza, SJ, Rector of St. Xavier’s College, then gave a brief presentation on ‘The College Vision & Mission’.
The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr. Aijaz Khan, filmmaker who shared insights and nuances on filmmaking gained over the years. The Guest of Honour was Ms. Anuradha Mahindra, Founder-Editor of Verve Magazine, who shared her knowledge and expertise with the audience.
Finally, Ms. Sandra D’Souza Rana, Dean, Administration & Finance, welcomed the students, gave an academic run-through, and introduced the Course Heads of the respective courses. The programme concluded with the XIC song.
