MCDM students visit to Edelman India

Our industry visit to Edelman India offered valuable insight into how global communication firms build trust, reputation, and cultural relevance in today’s fast-changing world. The session began with introductions to the leadership team, followed by a discussion on Edelman Gen Z Lab, which focuses on understanding how brands can meaningfully engage with Gen Z, the largest generation in history, making up nearly 30% of the global population.

The team highlighted how Gen Z values authenticity and visibility and how brands “show up” across platforms, especially on social media, where trust is built or broken quickly. A key takeaway was that trust remains the foundation of reputation, influencing perception, performance, and long-term business outcomes.

Bhavna Jagtiani, CEO of Edelman India, spoke about the importance of work-life balance, staying curious, asking questions, and understanding geopolitics to remain relevant in the communications industry. The visit reinforced how strategic thinking, cultural awareness, and curiosity are essential for future communicators.
