MCDM students expert session with Parag Shinde - META India

MCDM class had the privilege of interacting with Mr. Parag Shinde, a Multimedia Specialist and Video Operations Producer at Meta (Facebook India). With over 20 years of experience across broadcast, digital, and social media, he has been at the forefront of the shift from traditional to digital media. During the session, he shared valuable insights into this transformation and how technology continues to redefine content creation and distribution.
Mr. Shinde gave us a hands-on demonstration on how to stream live using platforms like Instagram and YouTube directly from a laptop. He introduced us to OBS, a professional streaming tool, and even used a classmate’s Instagram account to show the process in real time; thus making the overall learning experience highly practical and engaging.
The excitement continued as we explored emerging technologies, including Meta smart glasses and their powerful features. He also introduced us to Oculus VR glasses, allowing us to experience the future of immersive media. The session was incredibly interactive, informative, and inspiring, leaving the entire class intrigued and motivated to explore the evolving world of digital media production.
