DBIMA (Paris) conducted workshop on Ad Film Production

23-December-2025

The DBIMA × ADMA Ad Film Making Workshop was an insightful learning experience for us. Conducted by Don Bosco International Media Academy (DBIMA), the seven-day workshop gave us a clear understanding of how ad films are made, covering direction, scripting, cinematography, and editing.

One of the key highlights was creating an ad film in just four days. From developing the script to shooting and editing, the process helped us experience real industry workflows and the importance of teamwork, time management, and clear communication.

The final two days focused on post-production, where we learned how editing shapes the final story and impact of an ad film.

The sessions were led by industry professionals Father John Paul Swaminathan, Justin Edwards, Prakash Tharakan, Camille Achour, and Abner Maximus Fernando. Their guidance and feedback made the learning practical, engaging, and easy to understand.

Overall, the workshop was focused, enriching, and professionally relevant. It gave us valuable exposure beyond the classroom and strengthened our understanding of advertising and visual storytelling.
