Beyond the Stage: Journalism & Media Convergence students engage with artists at the 47th Prithvi Theatre Festival
01-November-2025
The Journalism and Media Convergence students of Xavier Institute of Communications visited the 47th edition of the Prithvi Theatre Festival. The annual festival, held from November 1st to 17th in memory of Prithviraj Kapoor, aims to keep art famous and accessible. The festival aims at taking art to the people, the reason the tickets are priced at reasonable rates so that everyone can enjoy art. Prithvi is a home for art itself. This year Prithvi collaborated with National Theatre Live. The festival featured four screenings from the NTL repository, bringing diversity to this year’s lineup. The students attended screenings as well as plays, having the opportunity to interact with artists, observe live performances and gain a deeper understanding of how storytelling and collaboration come together in theatre. They were able to ask questions and experience firsthand the creative platforms that Prithvi nurtures.
