All modules in this course are obligatory. Workshops are valuated
for credit by attendance or assignments. The management reserves the right
to change the syllabus without prior notice.

Course Outline and Method: The Advertising & Marketing course
comprises lectures and application-based instruction by industry
professionals. It is designed to give a thorough working knowledge of
Advertising and Marketing communication and how they inter-relate. The
course comprises modules, workshops and online modules.
There is a strong emphasis on student performance evaluation through
projects and practical assignments and on research work by the students
themselves. There are usually three class sessions a day, 6 days a week
except Sundays. The first semester provides a comprehensive perspective of
Advertising and Marketing ; the second semester is project-based with
hands-on production and execution to provide knowledge that is essential
in the creative field.
A total of 380 sessions / 76 credits completed successfully,
make a student eligible for the diploma.
Eligibility: Any graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce, BMS
(business) or BMM (mass media) with at least 55 percent marks.
Non-graduates who have completed five years of full-time work in an
advertising agency may be considered. Working candidates are not eligible.
Class Timings: The course is conducted over weekdays - Monday to
Saturday - between 10.00 am to 8.30 pm.
75% attendance is compulsory in each module.
Job Prospects: There are opportunities in advertising and
specialist agencies, creative and client servicing, media planning, direct
marketing & promotions in varied media. Corporate house departments or
marketing communication are portfolios on offer. Placement interactions
are scheduled towards the end of the second term before the closing of the
academic year.
