Prism Tabloids Launch

The Journalism and Mass Communication (JR) batch’s annual newsletter release, as a part of the Print Production module, was held on 22nd March, 2013, in the XIC’s school campus classrooms. Prism was the name selected for the two tabloids published by the class, which worked in two groups. While one group were given the theme ‘culture’ and named their tabloid Prism: A Spectrum of Life, the other group was given ‘sports’ as the theme and came up with Prism: Game On!
The chief guest for the event was Fr. Lawrie Ferrao SJ, (Director, XIC) who was accompanied by members of the faculty to grace the event with their presence.
The schedule for the event involved presentations by the two groups on the production process for the tabloids, musical performances by JR’s Abhishek Sah, Sadhika Menon, and Shaina D’Souza, and a dance performance by Priya Adivarekar, also from the JR batch. This was followed by speeches from Asha Sandilya (JR course head) and Fr.Lawrie Ferrao S Jour director, as his parting advice, stressed on the prime importance of integrity in our profession; and of reporting from the heart!
