Launch of XIC Buzz

This year for the very first time in the history of XIC an "e-magazine” named XIC Buzz, was launched by the Journalism 2013-14 students. It was officially launched on October 3, 2013 in Hall 6. Faculty, students and special guests attended this launch in large numbers. It was well-organized consisting of live singing and dance performed by the Journalism students.
The Chief Guest Ms. Sathya Saran (Executive Director at Encylomedia, Consultant Editor at Harper Collins, India). When invited to say few words, she spoke of the qualities a person must have in order to become good journalist. She cited her own experiences and gave suggestions on how to become good writers. She was impressed with the idea of an e-magazine.
This project is coordinated mainly by faculty members Kamini Bobde, Atul Thakur and Nupur Barua along with the Journalism 2013-14 students, and other faculty members.
This e-magazine can be accessed at
www.xicbuzz.com. It is a collection of their writings, photography and videography that can be accessed on any electronic platform. One can browse through a variety of sections that cover almost every genre of journalism. Politics, fashion and theatre all find their place in this potpourri while humour sneaks in through cracks and crevices in the word walls at the most unexpected moments. While some pieces are assignments from various classes, others are features, reports, videos, photos and interviews that reflect experiences and encounters.
There will be more issues of Buzz launched over the coming year. Come, log on today and be a part of this new experience!
