Director’s address to the students, parents and others.
My dear XIC students - batch of 2012 - 13.
"The most important thing in Communication is to hear what is not being said."
Relax ... today HEAR what IS BEING said.
I BELIEVE ... I believe that this BATCH 2012 - 13 is the best ... as every batch, every year is...
I believe that students from each Course, each in their own unique way lived up to the expectations of XIC and will BECOME TRANSFORMERS - by BEING the CHANGE.
I believe that each one of you added your own unique touch of sensitivity, creativity in your group and individual assignments.
I believe that ISTORIA by the PR students, PRISM by JR students, TALASARI RURAL EXPERIENCE undertaken by the ADMA students, SOCIAL DOCUMENTARIES produced by FTV students, UDAAN with UNICEF and MCM students and ... much more!! All happened because of your total involvement and dedication.
I believe that you will use Social Media, and other communication skills learnt in XIC, in order to make a difference in the lives of others - especially the disadvantaged...
I believe that Faculty teaching in XIC, shared their very hearts and souls to give you much - sometimes, ‘too much’ according to you! - To learn, reflect and perform!
I believe that our Staff - be it Secretarial, Office Assistants, Technical, Computer, Finance, Service, Library - made attempts to make XIC a home away from home.
I believe that the dedication and expertise of the Jesuit management, the Boards, pushed XIC to give that little bit more - in a characteristic Jesuit MAGIS way.
I believe that our association with the Jesuit-run, "Lievens Institute of Film and Electronic Media” - L I F E - in Ranchi will give a voice to the tribal population of our country.
I believe that all that happened - the good and the not so good... will help us grow into better and more mature persons.
ABOVE all, I BELIEVE THAT THE POWER ABOVE GUIDED, CONSOLED AND CARED FOR EACH STUDENT AND STAFF MEMBER IN XIC this year too. AND I BELIEVE ... will continue to do so ...always!
