SNAPSHOT '05 - XIC Photography Exhibition

Once again the students of the Journalism and TV / Video displayed their photographic work at an exhibition held at the XIC premises at the Xavier’s school campus. This exercise initiates students into the aesthetic and technical craft of photography.

The photographs shot on location sites and heritage sea fronts – Mumbai City; Jhadpodi Village, Tribal Hamlet; Vikramgah Taluka; Jawahar Tableland, and the Hide-out Farm site — capture the beauty of these places and helped the photographers bring out the best in their work. The selection of photographs was made under the guidance of Usha Kris and Rajat Ghosh, module guides in the Journalism and TV / Video courses respectively.

Farzana Contractor, CEO, The Afternoon Despatch & Courier, and Editor, Upper Crust, opened the exhibition, at which a selection of her own photos from her recent show ‘People’, were also displayed. The exhibition was open to the public from 21-26 Sept, 2005.
