Teacher’s Day

Teacher’s Day this year at XIC was celebrated on 5 September, 2013- by way of ‘Desi Day’. Students were asked to come dressed as to different regions of India or as they deemed fitting the occasion.
There was a lot of excitement in the student body and nearly all of them participated. Going by the enthusiasm among the students, the director Fr. Lawrie announced an impromptu ramp walk. The location was in Hall 6, which was quickly re-arranged to resemble a cat walk all complete with flashing lights and music. The chairs quickly filled up with classmates egging on their representatives, and an hour passed quickly with a tastefully arranged afternoon.
The judges for the contest were Fr. Aloysius Murzello and Mrs. Bernadette Mascarhenas. The contestants were quizzed by the director Fr. Lawrie.
The winners of the contest were Mohit Juneja (C4D), Nikita Almeida(PR) and Ratan Goswami (JR), There was also a poster competition held on the same day. The theme was ‘Teacher’. The best poster winners were as follows 1st Prize to Lavanya Vasisht (PR), 2nd Prize to JR Batch, 3rd Prize to Neil Athayde (AM).
