CNN comes to XIC

Kenyan-born American journalist Zain Vergee, the anchor replacing Riz Khan on one of CNN's most popular programme in the sub continent, "Q&A South Asia", was in India in July on a delicate assignment - the Musharraf-Vajpayee Summit in Agra. Taking time off from her busy schedule in New Delhi, she visited Mumbai and came over to address the journalism students at the XIC. "Its important to be involved with students," says first-time lecturer Vergee, who was very interested in the students and their views. She is keen to strengthen her bonds in India and believes her Gujarati-cum-Kenyan background sensitises her to the current issues in our country.
